Before we list the ten ways of marketing your companies video, we have to first ask why we’re marketing and the short and long term goals of the videos campaign.
For example:
Trying to promote: Brand awareness is a different goal to:
Example short-term goal:
Having 20 people ask for a quote for (insert services you offer here) by March
Example long-term goal:
Having 200 people ask for quotes within a year
- 200 targetted followers on Facebook
- 50 sales
When you are specific with your marketing goals, you are giving yourself a better chance to realistically achieve them.
Your website:
You should be the biggest promoter for what you do as you are the authority figure for what you offer, it’s your responsibility to update your cusomters on all new products and services.
Usage example: You offer a specific feature so you highlight the component by showing the way it operates in a magnified view
Facebook:
One of the best methods of marketing right now is Facebook as you are able to target specific audiences, once the campaign is complete you can review what has worked. You can split test campaigns, meaning you can advertise the same video to two different age groups e.g. (20-30) and (30-40) if the older age group responds more and you have a limited budget your likely to promote the video to this age group more.
Email Campaign:
Having specific audiences you communicate through via email can be a great way to stay in contact with your current client base and prospects who have shown interest who may be close to purchasing with you.
Direct Mail:
If you have a new product or service your customers have requested in the past, reach out and let the know they were heard. Also mail the businesses from tradeshows that you’ve introduced yourself and service to as the would already have an understanding of how your services could fulfil their needs.
LinkedIn:
LinkedIn is a formal business social media platform you can reach new quality contacts and collaborate with businesses and entrepreneurs on a similar path, people on LinkedIn have been appreciating authenticity and innovation in posts that trend so when creating your promotional video posts keep this in mind.

Social media posts
Once your service or product is active for the best chance of profitability you need your market to see your offering and to feel good about everything it has to offer – the solution must be just that a ‘solution’ it improves lives
Create a post that instils confidence and the right feeling that the customer is looking for and be the solution.
With this in mind post your video to:
- Youtube
- Vimeo
Help your audience:
Start contributing to networks! (Networking events, Facebook groups and industry related forums for example.) Establish yourself as someone of value for what you offer – people will track back to your business pages and learn about what you offer.
Play your video at trade shows and Seminars:
Ultimately your offering a solution to and audience best way to get that solution out there is by getting out there, being someone who backs your product in person will instill that same confidence in the person whose looking to improve that area of their life, you are more likely to convert a sale in person if you answer all concerns and objections, then you can also discuss future solutions to keep your customer ahead of the game.
